THE CHALLENGE
Rumson Country Day School turned 100 this year and launched Our Best Endeavor, The Second Century Campaign, the school's first capital campaign in many years. Our scope covered 35 spaces: common areas, classrooms, science labs, and a 150-year-old church converted into classrooms. Every space needed furniture sized for its students, from kindergarten through middle school.
Midway through the project, a burst pipe flooded the newest wing of the school. The scope doubled. The deadline stayed the same.
OUR APPROACH
Design: We selected and laid out furniture for every space with the school board, sized by grade level.
Sourcing: We ordered direct from our vetted manufacturing partners, coming in $150,000 under domestic quotes.
Coordination: We worked alongside NK Architects and IBO Construction Group to keep procurement and delivery in step with construction.
